What makes our process and products unique
is extreme versatility.

Our products are applied with a spray, right over an existing floor or surface. In fact, all our finishes are like working with a potter’s clay – floor patterns, colours and textures can be shaped into any unique design you might imagine. All are extremely durable and permanent. If you ever grow tired of your look, we can apply a new look right over it.

The following gives an overview of the process:

  1. Give us a call and drop into our showroom. This will allow us to discuss your job, show you some of your options, determine timelines and related costs.

  2. Try on your new look. If you like, you can bring a photograph of your home or business and we will load it into our virtual imagery program. This will allow you to visualize how the new floor will look. There is no charge for this service.

  3. Sample Boards. If you wish for a custom colour or pattern, we will also produce a sample board for you for a small fee ($50 - $100 per sample board, depending on the size required to show your chosen pattern).

  4. On-site inspection. We like to check out the site itself, to measure the job and determine the amount of surface preparation required. We will bring along your sample boards so you can view them within your space.

  5. Sign-off on the job. During our on-site inspection, we’ll provide you with a written quotation which you will sign off. We will also require a deposit on the job, which is 50% of the value of the job.

  6. Surface Preparation. We begin by covering and protecting all surroundings with plastic and taping. Surface cleaning involves using a high-pressure water sprayer. We may also apply an acid to “rough” the surface, allowing the coating to better stick to it. If the concrete has cracks or holes, we may also repair these depending on the flooring treatment to be applied. Note: Exterior jobs cannot be executed during winter months, with the possible exception of heated garages.

  7. Surface Application. Depending on the option chosen, we will then apply your chosen coating treatment. Simpler coatings are quickly applied with spray. More complex patterns are sprayed in several layers. Depending on the complexity of the pattern and texturing, this step generally takes the most time. Once stencils or taped designs are removed, the surface must also be allowed to dry for 6 – 12 hours.

  8. Surface Finishing. If custom hand-tinting is requested, this is applied after the floor pattern is dry. We also remove any ridges and use the “sock test” – i.e. there must be no edges on which socks could be “caught” – especially on an interior floor.

  9. Sealing. The final step is sealing – we apply two coats for extra durability. This prevents accidental staining from oils, wines or foods, meaning the surface can simply be wiped clean. It will also protect concrete surfaces from corrosive substances, cracking and crumbling.

  10. Using the Surface. Interior surfaces can be walked on as soon as they dry - typically 6 hours. Exterior surfaces require 48 hours before they can be driven on.
